ESI Environmental Health and Safety Policy
ESI Believes that a proactive approach toward conserving and enhancing our environment benefits everyone and that accidents are preventable. We are committed to providing the education and opportunity for all employees to participate in the continuous improvement of our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management System.
RoHS Restriction of Hazardous Substances
WEEE Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
While the majority of ESI’s products avail of the Large Scale Fixed Industrial Equipment exemption today, we anticipate the momentum behind environmental regulations and restrictions will encompass our products over time in the markets we serve. Accordingly, new products are designed to comply with RoHS requirements except where it is widely accepted no feasible technical alternative exists and we participate in WEEE schemes as they apply. Through investments in Product Life Cycle Management tools we continue to increase our analysis and reporting capability.
ISO14001 Requirements for Environmental Management Systems
As evidence of ESI’s commitment to environmental stewardship we recently were registered to the ISO 14001 standard. Through this program ESI adopted a policy which commits us to meeting or exceeding all applicable EHS and product safety regulations and legislation and to continuously improve our efforts to eliminate and reduce environmental hazards and waste.
